Germany just witnessed the largest climate protest in its history over removing a forest to extract coal.

Pirate themed DC Bike Party for Oct 2018

On the 10th of October, the DC Bike party took to the streets in a pirate-themed ride. The theme was based on piracy in the age of sail rather than modern pirates who often use a fishing boat with two big outboard motors on the back.

Bali, Indonesia -The International Monetary Fund releases its "Global Financial Stability Report" ahead of its Annual Meetings held this year in Southeast Asia.

Protesters at Supreme Court as Kavanaugh shows up for Day 1

On the 9th of October, "Injustice Brett KKKavanaugh" reported to the US Supreme Court for his first day of putting his agenda into action. Just to enter the building he had to get past protesters. A three-SUV motorcade that dove into the building past penned protesters was probably him. Afterwards protesters in "Handmaid's Tale" costumes marched to the front of the building

IMF Lowers Global Growth Projections and Raises Concerns of Financial Crisis

Bali, Indonesia - The International Monetary Fund released the World Economic Outlook Report and lowered global growth projections to 3.7 percent for 2018 and 2019.

Progressives confront Trumpers outside White House as Kavanaugh gets 2nd swearing-in by Trump

On the evening of October 8, Donald Trump summoned Brett Kavanaugh to the White House for a ceremonial second swearing-in. Outside, Penn Ave was closed, but arguments between progressives and Trump supporters broke out up and down the opposite sidewalk until the loud "Kremlin Annex" protesters showed up with musical instruments and their PA to drown the MAGAts out.

Ghost Scooter appears east side of Dupont Circle for rider killed there

Sometime prior to Oct 7, someone locked a white "ghost scooter" to a lamp post on a sidewalk "island" on the east side of Dupont Circle, in one of the most complex areas of the intersection. Attached was a sign saying a scooter rider died there on the 21st of September and nobody should have to die to travel through DC.

It's not over-#KremlinAnnex protest calls Kavanaugh "sexual predator"

On the 7th of October, the #KremlinAnex protests continued in front of the White House. This was the 84th evening of the protests. Again the theme was Kavanaugh's history of alcohol abuse and sexual abuse.

Developer Adrian Washington gets home demo after illegally padlocking 4 Black-owned businesses

On Oct 3 (possibly using the Kavanaugh drama to divert press attention), develper Adrian Washington's Neighborhood Development's subsidiary 1100 Eastern LLC padlocked three Black-owned buisinesses and a church oin the Deanwood neighborhood in NE. #CancelKavanaugh: Injustice KKKavanaugh confirmed as protesters take Capitol steps, disrupt vote

On the 6th of October, the US Senate voted to confirm "Injustice KKKavanaugh" by a 50-48 margin. The vote was interrupted by protesters who Vice President Mike Pence himself tried to gavel into silence. Outside, a mass protest occupied the East Steps of the US Capitol. At times the sound of public fury was deafening.

#CancelKavanaugh: Womens March marches on Supreme Court, Occupies Hart Building

On the 4th of October, the Women's March and other groups bussed in protesters from all over the US for a massive march from Brett Kavanaugh's current place of work at the Federal Courthouse (333 Const Ave) to the US Supreme Court. Plans to hold a massive sit-in on the Capitol steps were hampered by Capitol police blocking access to the entire building, so protesters took over the Hart building atrium after the rally instead.
