From JAPAN- Japan and India are stepping up cooperation in the development of renewable energy and hydrogen fuel cells. At a preparatory meeting for the 2020 nuclear non-proliferation summit, delegates expressed opinions on the future of nuclear power plants. The Chinese and North Korean Foreign Ministers met to discuss the inter-Korean summit. Japanese PM Abe visited Palestinian President Abbas and said Japan supports a two-state solution and will keep its embassy in Tel Aviv. From SPAIN- Alison Hughes reports on recent missile strikes on Syria which no one will claim. New US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo visited Saudi Arabia and lashed out at Iran, calling it the greatest sponsor of terrorism in the world. Israel remains the sole possessor of nuclear weapons in the middle east, while Trump is expected to disavow the Iran nuclear agreement. At the weekly Palestinian protests, Israeli soldiers continue to kill unarmed demonstrators, children, and journalists, and follow up with night time bombing in the Gaza Strip. The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights criticized the Israeli military response to non-threatening protests, saying willful killings are a breach of the 4th Geneva Convention. From CUBA- In Nicaragua, violence has continued to be aimed at destabilizing the government, called for by the business sector. In Guatemala, several social groups have called for protests demanding the resignation of President Jimmy Morales. In Venezuela, the ambassador to the Organization of American States says that the US is using the organization to continue to isolate and attack his country. In Peru, disgraced former president Fujimori are being charged again for the forced sterilization of about 300,000 poor indigenous women during his reign.
