On the 16th of October, activists from Beyond Extreme Energy dressed as "Supervillains" to mockingly lobby for confirmation of Trump's new FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) nominee Bernard McNamee. Supervillains included Columbus, the Joker, the Ghost of Fossil Fuels Past, the UnderTrumper(a mining fanatic), and more.

Charles County residents may have DEFEATED proposed Dominion compressor station

Residents of both Accokeek, MD and Cove Point, MD may have just won a major victory. In the face of unrelenting, "not one step back" community opposition, Dominion Energy is claiming to have thrown in the towel on building a crucial fracked gas compressor station in Charles County, MD near Accokeek. While this has yet to be entered into the court docket of a related lawsuit, it would be foolish for Dominion to publicly state they have cancelled the compressor station if they still intend to build in Charles County.

Germany just witnessed the largest climate protest in its history over removing a forest to extract coal.

Ghost Scooter appears east side of Dupont Circle for rider killed there

Sometime prior to Oct 7, someone locked a white "ghost scooter" to a lamp post on a sidewalk "island" on the east side of Dupont Circle, in one of the most complex areas of the intersection. Attached was a sign saying a scooter rider died there on the 21st of September and nobody should have to die to travel through DC.
