Jewish Opposition to the Israeli War Against the Palestinians

These are the emerging voices of a new generation of anti-war Jewish Americans, the millennials, those who reached adulthood around the year 2000. They are opposed to Israel’s ever escalating war in Gaza and the unending Occupation. They protested at the headquarters of the Jewish Federation of North America (JFNA) in Washington, DC. JFNA supports Israeli military actions, and says it does so in the name of all Jewish Americans. Which is not how these millennials see it. Video

Muslim activists demand community boycott Obama's political iftar dinner over Gitmo, Gaza, and domestic spying

On the 14th of July, Obama held an Iftar, the ceremonial dinner at the conclusion of the day's Ramadan fasting by area Muslims. A number of Muslim groups including the American Arab Anti-Discrimination league refused to attend and called for a boycott, instead protesting out front. They were opposing US aid to Israel's assault on Gaza, the continuing existence of Guantanimo Bay, mass incarceration and domestic spying in the US targeting Muslims and people of color in the US.

Do You Know John Kiriakou?

On February 28 2013, CIA whistleblower John Kiriakou began serving a thirty month sentence for revealing details about the Bush administration's use of torture. On the eve of his imprisonment, Code Pink and Naomi Pitcairn hosted a farewell party for him on the roof of the Hay Adams Hotel, overlooking the White House. Speakers in order of appearance:

Code Pink Demonstration at the Egyptian Defense Office to protest the unjust sentencing of Al Jazeera Journalists and 183 Egyptians Sentenced to Death, and Call for an End to US Military Aid to Egypt .

 On Monday, June 23, an Egyptian court convicted three Al Jazeera journalists of “aiding the Muslim Brotherhood,” sentencing two of them to seven years in prison and one to ten years!! Just a few days earlier, 183 Egyptians were sentenced to death for simply being allegedly affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood.

Islamophobic Ads on Metrobusses compare Muslims to Hitler

On the 19th of May, large advertisements appeared on the sides of Metrobusses showing a picture of Adolf Hitler and claiming the Quran calls for such hatred. The ads are running on the sides of 20 Metrobusses, barring overlying graffiti or mechanical problems taking them off the road.
