Code Pink motorcades from White House to Cuban Embassy demanding "Healthcare not Warfare"

On the 25th of May, Code Pink held a mixed march/motorcade from the White House to the Embassy of Cuba demanding the redirection of war funding to healthcare, and an end to the harassment of nations accepting Cuba's doctors. The Pentagon's weapons are simply not effective in a "war" against a virus, while Cuba's physicians are.

The protest began with a funeral procession of nearly 200 cars, many with signs such as "how many graves can one President dig."

Fur Seller Neiman-Marcus goes bankrupt, fate of Mazza Gallery store unknown

About a decade ago Andriana's Furs closed in the Friendship Heights "Furrier's Row." Now the Washington Post is reporting that the infamous fur-selling department store chain Neiman-Marcus AKA Neiman-Carcass has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and will close "some stores" due to pandeic-induced losses. Hopefully this will include their Mazza Gallery location on furrier's row.

Early afternoon on Mayday, May 1 2020, car and bike caravans began lining up for another day of caravan protests.One of the motorcades began the day by essentially driving laps around the White House.while bicyclists rode by HHS chanting "Do Your Job!" ShutDownDC activists paint murel at Amazon CEO Bezo's DC mansion

Sunrise holds Cancel Rent banners across from Wilson Building

DC Hub, the DC Tenant's Union, and Sunrise are demanding that Mayor Bowser and the DC Council cancel all rent payments citywide for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic. Sunrise started things off with banners on Freedom Plaza across from the Wilson Building. This was followed by a phone jam against the City Council and the Mayor.

Essential not Expendable caravans crisscross DC

On the 27th of April, two motorcades and a bike caravan crosscrossed the city visiting locations where essential workers are placing themselves at risk for the public before converging in SE DC. During the closing rally in SE, cops demanded protesters leave-and some of the cops removed their own personal protective equipment to do so.
