Rex Tillerson confirmation hearing draws T-Rex themed protest and repeated disruption

On the 11th of January, former Exxon CEO Rex Tillerson began his confirmation hearings as Trump's Secretary of State before Congress. Protesters dressed as T-Rex dinosaurs backed by a crowd from 350.org marched to the hearing site from Capitol Hill Exxon. Inside the Dirksen Building, other protesters repeatedly disrupted the proceedings.

A specific objection to "Rexxon" raised by the protesters was that Rex Tillerson was CEO of Exxon while the company was concealing evidence of man-made climate change found by its own scientists, and having their publicity department claim the opposite. Then again, that kind of fake news is nothing new from Donald Trump and his friends. Another objection was that Rex was CEO while Exxon was involved in ramping up militarized "private security contractors" who abused human rights to defend Exxon's natural gas and LNG export facilities in Indonesia.
