Wal-Mart strikers, JWJ March through DC

On the 6th of June, Wal-Mart strikers and DC Jobs with Justice marched through the streets of DC.

There is a report that Wal-Mart falsely claimed over Twitter that the strikers were paid protesters. The march assembled at 1PM at Union Station and marched to the downtown Wal-Mart store. While Wal-Mart has so far been able to avoid union representation for their workers, they have NOT been able to prevent wildcat strikes and walk-outs, nor to prevent allies of these workers from assisting them. Wal-Mart plays dirty, forcing labor organizers to resort to new tools and new organizing models.
