Extreme rains put Beach Dr under two feet of water in MD

On the 12th of August, rain fell at thunderstorm intensity from early morning until mid-afternoon. That evening at almost 6PM, Beach Drive near Kensington Parkway was submerged under about 3 feet of water. Nearby residents told the TV News they had never seen anything like it.

I did see one cyclist cross Beach Drive-wading though water up to his knees, thus the depth estimate. This is yet another example of the extreme weather that climate change is making more common and more severe.
