On the 15th of October, protesters showed up at the home of DC Councilmember Brianne Nadeau. Complaints included DC's treatment of unhoused residents, about evictions, and the city's plans for Morton Park.
Promotions for the protest had this to say:
You may be a resident living/who lived at Park Morton public housing in Ward One thrown to the winds of change in the form of luxury development at any costs and displaced during a pandemic -- Brianne Nadeau has disregarded you.
You may be the unhoused residents living at the Adams Morgan Plaza for years without any opportunity for long term housing solutions and social services -- Brianne Nadeau has disregarded you.
You may be the residents who enjoy the open green space at Bruce Monroe Park, some of the last recreation space along this about-to-be-blown up Georgia Avenue corridor -- Brianne Nadeau has disregarded you.
You may be a McMillan Park supporter, seeking to preserve and protect the open green space and historic landmark from being destroyed for more luxury condos -- Brianne Nadeau has disregarded you.
