Respect DC marches on H st Wal-Mart

On the 23ed of April, Respect DC marched on the Wal-Mart at H st NW, demanding compensation for workers injured or killed in their supply chain. They got inside and demanded that Wal-Mart pay compensation to families of factory workers killed in the Tazareen factory fire and the Rana Plaza factory collapse in Bangladesh. They also demanded respect for all workerw throughout Wal-Mart's entire supply chain.

In the Tazareen factory fire also in Bangladesh (Fall 2012), Wal-Mart's Faded Glory labels were found. Wal-Mart and the GAP were instrumental in preventing a safety agreement that could have prevented the Rana Plaza collapse (April 2013) from ever occurring after that fire. Wal-Mart is still refusing to this day to sign the Accord on Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh.
