Monsanto GMO research lab burned in France
On the 28th of October, Reuters reported that a Monsanto "research" facility in France was heavily damaged by a fire police believe was almost certainly set. The blaze began in two places at once, smelled of gasoline. The lab specialized in corn researh, almost certainly concerning genetically-modified crops (GMOs). Although no communique claiming credit has emerged from any group, this sounds like Monsanto has run into a new version of the French Resistance. Meanwhile, France announced back in June that it is banning all sales of Monsanto's flagship product roundup, and French laws against GMO crops are being strengthened. Also in June, 40 tons of genetically-engineered sugar beets were burned in an unrelated incident that has received almost no media coverage. In Hungary the government and farmers have been searching fields for evidence of contamination with GMO's since they were banned in 2013, and fields that test positive are being systematically burned. In 2013 alone more than 1,000 acres of corn had to be destroyed after evidence of contamination with Monsanto's Frankegenes was found, Pioneer Monsanto was the brand most commonly found,. These incidents show that Monsanto and all other creators of generically-engineered "frankenfoods" are now literally under fire globally.
