Jane Fonda's #FireDrillFridays joins #RemoveTrump in mass march on White House

On the 8th of November, #RemoveTrump joined forces with Jane Fonda's #FireDrillFridays for a massive pro-impeachment march from the US Capitol to the White House. A sit-in was staged there but no reports of arrests at this writing.

Beyond Extreme Energy disrupts hearing for FERC nominee Danley

Three members of Beyond Extreme Energy (BXE) disrupted the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee hearing for James Danly, who was nominated by President Trump to be the third Republican commissioner at FERC, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Two BXE members unfurled a banner reading “Reject Danly” and yelled "FERC: No more fossil lovers! Wind and solar now!" before being removed from the room and arrested.

IMF/World Bank 75th anniv Fall Meetings draw climate protesters

On the 18th of October, at least three different groups of protesters descended on the Fall Meetings of the IMF and World Bank. The largest was a climate protest, demanding that the IMF, World Bank, and IFC entirely stop funding coal, oil, and gas.

Opponents of Potomac Pipeline/Rockwool hold 2nd "Hands Across the Potomac" event

On the 13th of October, opponents of Transcanada's Potomac Pipeline and of the toxic Rockwool plant being build across from a school in W Va held the second "Hands Across the Potomac" event on the bridge from Shepherdstown, W Va to MD. TransCanada subsidiary Columbia Gas lost their first attempt at Federal eminent domain of MD parkland to build this pipeline but has appealed to the 4th Circuit.
