On the 2nd of September, the DC police (MPD) shot and killed 17 year old Deon Kay in SE DC. In response protesters laid siege to 7D, which the killer cop is most likely based at. At one point, protesters chanting "Move Back!" were able to drive the cops into their completely-surrounded station.

On Sep 1, photos were published on Twitter confirming that MPD used stingball (rubber pellet) grenades late night on Saturday, Aug 29 against protesters on and around Black Lives Matter Plaza. One protester ended up in the hospital after one of these rubber balls penetrated their leg, and several more with metal fragments in their eyes, possibly from the detonators within the grenades.

On the 30th of August, DC police assaulted protesters on Black Lives Matter Plaza with tear gas and rubber pucks fired from guns for the 2nd night in a row. Shortly therafter, bike cops attacked, making multiple violent arrests. A total of 14 arrests were reported by the end of the night.

August 29th was a day of marches and protest that ended in shocking police violence. Here in DC, almost as soon as cops were no longer kept busy by the Fuck the Police march targetting upscale diners elsewhere, a blizzard of tear gas and rubber bullets was unleashed against protesters at Black Lives Matter Plaza.

On the 27th of August, the go-go and noise protests against Trump's GOP nomination acceptance speech were audible from the White House south lawn, site of his speech and about 1,000 RNC delegates and spectators. All had to hear the sound of the protests, cops were not successful in what appeared to be an attempt to intimidate protesters into backing up the sound truck.

On the 28th of August, National Action Network held a massive "Get Your Knee Off Our Necks" march in DC. Huge crowds streamed into the Lincoln Memorial area starting early morning, and marchers circulated all over DC afterwards well into the night. At one point well after the main march, all DC bridges over the Potomac were reportedly blocked at once.

On the 27th of August, a Portland-style unmarked SUV full of what turned out to be ATF agents was spotted on 15th st as protesters hammerd Trump's RNC nomination acceptance speech. On that same day in Kenosha, WI, cops from a similar unmarked SUV arrested the Riot Kitchen, which served food to protesters.

This unmarked SUV was spotted within perhaps 100 yards of the mercenaries who also were seen on the streets.

On the 27th of August, Donald Trump gave his speech accepting the GOP's nomination for the 2020 GOP Presidential slot to about 1,000 people in the White House compound. Outside, many more protesters disrupted the speech with loud go-go music and noisemakers reported to be audible from the White House south lawn, site of Trump's speech. Later, several GOP convention delegates were pursued by protesters on their way out.

On the 26th of August, the DC Bike Party took to the streets to open the coming weekend of protests against Trump's GOP nomination acceptance speech.

On the 24th of August, hundreds marched from Columbia Heights to protest the shooting of Jacob Blake by police in Kenosha, WI. At one point protesters chanted "Seven times" referring to the 7 times the pigs shot Jacob Blake.

On the 23ed of August, protesters returned to the home of Trump's mail-sabotaging Postmaster-General Louis Dejoy. Dejoy has been slowing down mail service as part of Trump's scheme to steal the 2020 election by ensuring mailed ballots are not counted while telling less COVID-concerned GOP voter to vote in person.

On the 22nd of August, a man reported to have worn a Trump hat (but not wearing it as he spit) spit on a Black woman after initiating a conflict with protesters holding a "mic-check" at the restaurant he was eating at. It the COVID pandemic, this is assault with a deadly weapon.

On the 16th of August, a "Reclaim DC" protest was scheduled for BLM Plaza/H st. On that day, protesters added paintwork to the murel of signs at the US Chamber of Commerce, painted H st-and hung a mock Klansman in effigy. Cops set up a police line blocking most of H st and glowered at protesters.

On Saturday, the 15th of August, the usual pair of BLM marchews from Malcolm X Park and Dupont circle took to the streets in spite of rain and the kettle just two days earlier. Very large numbers of cops shadowed the marches and tension grew between these pigs and the They/Them march out of Dupont. Of course, all those cops were effectively taken off the street for the rest of the city.

On the 15th of August, US Postmaster-General Louis Dejoy got an early Saturday morning wakeup call, in the form of protesters outside his Kalorama house. They were there because Dejoy is Trump's point man for sabotaging the post office to delay mailed ballots.

On the 13th of August, the Metropolitan Police Department once again kettled protesters in the IMF/Pershing Park/J20 manner. In addition to the usual pepper spraying, cops surrounded protesters on 18th st, and arrested protesters, journalists, and bystanders alike. There are reports of felony rioting charges (even against journalists, same as J20)-and that one protesters had a stroke and was removed by ambulance.

On the 11th of August, just one day after the Secret Service shot a Black man at 17th and Penn near the White House, Muriel Bowser had contractors pave over just the part of Black Lives Matter Plaza showing BLM's "Defund the Police" addition to her Black Lives Matter street mural.

On the 10th of August, DC area Tenant organzers defeated their second illegal eviction attempt in PG County just over the DC line in less than two weeks. Again the landlord told tenants he was going to throw their belongings into the street and change the locks with no court order. Again activists showed up en masse, and again the landlord scuttled away in defeat.
