On the 26th of March, tenants of the Woodner, the Oaklawn, and other Van Metre properties protested in front of their buildings demanding back rent and rent be cancelled in the face of the majority of tenants losing their jobs to the COVID-19 pandemic. While tenants starve, Ms Woodner rides $100,000 horses and sponsors art shows!
On the 24th of March, student climate activists showed up at Montgomery County executive Marc Elrich's house, demanding the County replace a verbose but useless climate "action" plan with on-the-ground, real policy changes. A stay-behind team from XR-MoCo confronted him after the protest as he tried to enter his car-and he agreed to present a list of specific proposals to the Council before March 31.

They were demanding a total and complete end to ALL cooperation with ICE by Arlington Police, courts, and the Sheriff. The targeted politician responded to the story of a man being arrested, turned over to ICE, and deported after a traffic accident with seemingly an hour of bullshit.
