On the 14th of August, Local 689 of the Amalgamated Transit Union announced a protest to be held Noon-1PM, Aug 16 at Metro Center. Local 689 is demanding that Metro CEO Paul Wiedefeld be fired for providing neo-Nazis with a special train for Unite the Right II. Also on the 14th of August, the union published photos of cops and Nazis at the Vienna Metro-and the schedule sheet containing the order for the special train.
On the 14th of August, OccupyLafayettePark was back in front of the White House demanding that Trump resign or be impeached. They also were on the previous night, the 13th of August. The huge mess created by Unite The Right has not protected the fascist inside the White House from ongoing protests against his regime.
On the 12th of August, WMATA broke their promise to ATU Local 689 by running a special train just for a few dozen Nazis from the Vienna Metro to Foggy Bottom. Once there, the fascists had to run a gauntlet of thousands of counterprotesters, nearly get kettled by counterprotesters at Lafayette Sq, and when the rains began to fall had to be removed by a different route from the park to return to Metro.Counterprotesters were incensed that neo-Nazis would dare to commemorate August 12, the day one of them murdered Heather Heyer in Charlottesville, VA.
On Aug 11, a Twitter post appearing to be from DC Police Chief Newsham stated he sat down for a pleasant dinner with his comrade Jason Kessler on the 11th of August. After a discussion of their mutual plans for August 12, Cheif Newsham released a Tweet containing Jason Kessler's phone number, saying "if you have any questions please reach out to him directly on his cell phone" followed by the phone number.
