PSL Marches for Tyre Nichols against police station in St Petersburg,FL

On the 29th of January, the Party for Socialism and Liberation held a march in St Petersburg, FL from City Hall to the nearest police station. The march demanded that killer cops be sent to prison, and that all other cops resign. This event was held in memory of Tyre Nichols and in solidarity with activists in Memphis.

"Every City Is Cop City" chanted at DC march for Atlanta

On Jan 28, an Atlanta Forest Defense solidarity march assembled in Logan Circle and took to the streets in DC. As bike cops swarmed around the march, marchers chanted "Every City is Cop City! Stop Cop City!" The bike cops were dressed in black and yellow above all else, same colors as the Proud Boys.

Vigil held in Malcolm X Park for forest defender shot and killed by Atlanta cops

On the 18th of January, police assaulting the Atlanta Forest Defense/Stop Cop City treesits shot and killed forest defender "Tortuguita" or "Tort." He was murdered after a cop was shot by another cop in a blue-on-blue "friendly fire" incident. Since then vigils have been held across Turtle Island. One of them drew an estimated 50-75 people to Malcolm X Park here in DC on Jan 24.

Women's March takes to the streets, faces scrum with Christian nationalists at SCOTUS

On the 22nd of January, the Women's March took to the streets in DC and many other cities for abortion rights. In DC, swarms of Christian nationalists and other forced-birth advocates counterprotested at the Supreme Court, leading to some tense confrontations. Women are NOT going to back down on abortion rights, no matter what the church demands!

PAAU fetus stealers draw counterprotesters to SCOTUS

On Jan 20, so-called "Progressive Anti Abortion Uprising"(a literally fetus-stealing religious group) and their allies showed up at the Supreme Court during the so-called "March 4 Life." Present also at SCOTUS were several antichoice Gay men, helping to pave the way for their own fate if the GOP decides to round up the entire LGBTQ community. A bullhorn in siren mode helped drown out PAAU's lies.

Forced birth "National Prayer Service" disrupted by abortion rights and trans rights activists

On the 20th of January, hard core anti-abortion/forced birth activists led by defrocked priest held Frank Pavone the "National Prayer Service " before marching on the Capitol and Supreme Court. As the service got underway, abortion rights and transgender rights activists shouted it down, one after another.

Night of Vengeance announced after cops kill Atlanta Forest Defender

Just after 9AM on the 18th of January, the cops went to guns against the Atlanta Forest Defenders. Cops entered with guns drawn ahead of Brasfield and Gorrie’s construction equipment and the situation blew up. Witnesses reported a sudden barrage of about 12 shots, and when it was over, a cop was wounded reportely by another cop’s bullets and a protesters (reported as a bystander by some) was dead.

Solidarity protest for Atlanta Forest Defense held at DeKalb County Courthouse

On the 16th of January, supporters of the Atlanta Forest Defense/Stop Cop City campaign showed up at among many places all over the US, the DeKalb County courthouse. It is in the courthouse that the bullshit "domestic terrorism" charges based on a REPEALED state law were filed. Stop Cop City is a movement to defeat an attempt by the City of Atlanta to raze the city's largest forest to build a huge police training range.

Jeff Bezos get home demo for Poushawn Brown at his DC house

On the 8th of January, protesters assembled at the DC home of Jeff Bezos (one of many of his homes) for a candlelight vigil to remember Poushawn Brown. At the start of the covid pandemic, she was ordered to test other workers at Amazon with zero protective equipment and died as a result of this shameful refusal to provide any kind of protection. Amazon has refused to pay her family a penny even though this assignment was illegal.
