Civil rights protesters stage die-in at Union Station, Shut down Georgetown and Key Bridge

On the 6th of December the fast and furious pace of protests against police murders of African-Americans continued with a 3PM die-in at Union Station and a street march that began shortly after 6PM on U street. This march went downtown, to Georgetown, and crossed Key Bridge into Arlington before deciding on the Metro to disperse to lose two undercover cops. Just before Georgetown there was an ugly incident where a US Capitol Policeman assaulted one of the protesters.

Man injured by violent arrest at Dec 5 civil rights protest in Chinatown

On Dec 5, civil rights protesters in DC shut down Chinatown on multiple occasions. At about 10:55PM cops suddenly pursued someone said to be one of the protesters, the crowd surged after them. When the scene opened up a bit one man was down and in handcuffs. He suffered seizures police said were caused by being pepper sprayed. They left him in handcuffs through the seizures, and no ambulance was summoned. Finally a bunch of cops picked him up like a log and carried him off to an unknown destination at or beyond the end of the block.

DC Ferguson marchers take over streets, storm Wal-Mart

On the 25th of November, thousands took to the streets for the second night of DC Ferguson protests responding the the grand jury's refusal to indict killer cop Darren Wilson. The protest took over the streets and blocked the intersection of NY Ave and 395 before marching south-and storming the Wal-Mart on H st. The only looting was the usual looting by Wal-Mart's bosses, stealing from their associates with their law wages and terrible working conditions. Protesters made it plain they were after management, not the associates actually working late to put food on their family tables.

Wal-Mart is known to have donated $10,000 to killer cop Darren Wilson's legal defense fund, so on Nov 25 DC Ferguson marchers "indicted" Wal-Mart for obstructing justice by storming the H st store!

Sierra Club demands Dominion Resources dump ALEC at ALEC's headquarters

On the 4th of September, the Sierra Club backed up by Virigina residents including the Mayor of Alexandria showed up in front of the offices of ALEC, the American legislative Exchange Council. They were demanding that Dominion Resources stop contributing money paid by Virginia ratepayers to this far-right thinktank. ALEC is the largest non political party donor of campaign cash in Virginia, and Dominion's customers literally have no choice but to help ALEC corrupt the political process simply by paying their electrical bills.
