On September 11, 2018, DC Grand Jury resistor Luke Kuhn burned his subpoena outside US District Court. This was after a statement and a march from nearby DC Superior Court, site of the J20 persecutions. Minutes after the protest ended came word from defense attorneys that the subpeona had been dropped.

On Wednesday, September 5, 2018, a subpoena to a grand jury was issue to one of our comrades. Our comrade was asked to report to a DC courthouse on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. That subpoena asked for footage taken by a camera held by the comrade in the streets of Washington DC on August 12, 2018, a day when the streets were full of thousands of antifascist and anti-racist activists opposing a small white supremacist group. This trusted comrade is an independent journalist who often films protests in the city, and was doing so on August 12, 2018.

On the evening of August 16, an Indymedia journalist was harassed at home by police. There was one Montgomery County, MD white police SUV and two dark unmarked cars. Four cops were visible. One or more approached the house, saying they wanted help identifying others shown in a Daily caller sting video targetting counterprotesters against Unite The Right II. The journalist refused to cooperate.

Update: The poster of the Daily Caller video which triggered the harassment has been identified as Benny Arthur Johnson of NW DC.

On Tuesday, the 7th of August, Night out for Safety and Liberation hosted the Night out for Safety and Liberation as an alternative to the cop-focussed "National Night Out." The Night out for Safety and Liberation is all about solutions to problems on the street and elsewhere that avoid reliance on police and prisons.
