Statement by Venezuelan Embassy Protectors After Mistrial

The trial of the Embassy Protection Collective ended in a mistrial, after the jury deadlocked. According to the Partnership for Civil Justice, "Having spent outrageous sums of taxpayers $$ in overkill fed court prosecution of a misdemeanor case & heavily restricting the defense the jury could hear, Trump's DC Attys Office was still unable to convict."

"Reject the Coverup" protest held after GOP Senate "acquits" Trump

On the 5th of February, protesters rallied outside the US Capitol after the Senate refused to remove Donald Trump from office. While the GOP says Trump was "acquitted" in actuality there was no witnesses and no evidence, thus no real trial. This is rather like someone committing a major felony, then ensuring members of their own crew are both judge and jury, blocking any conviction.

People's State of the Union pushed away from Capitol for Trump's speech

On the 4th of February, cops pushed Refuse Fascism's "People's State of the Union" protest away from the Capitol. First they were pushed to the Supreme Court, then most of the way to Union Station. Protesters denounced the blatent self-serving abuse of power by Trump and that fake impeachment "trial" with neither witnesses nor evidence.
