DC Ferguson protesters close Georgetown streets, storm Pentagon City mall

On the 29th of November, DC Ferguson protesters marched through Georgetown and shut down the streets. When the march headed out of Georgetown, marchers transitioned from the sidewalks to block shoppers who did not drive in from reaching the doors of upscale stores. At the end of the march, protesters surged into the Foggy Bottom Metro, got off at Pentagon City, and stormed into the shopping mall.

Flag of White AmeriKKKa burns in Chinatown during Ferguson protests

Right-wingers are screaming online about the fact that in many places Ferguson protesters are burning the flag that flies over police stations, the flag of US imperialism. One of the flag burnings was in Chinatown, no doubt the wealthy merchants that have taken over Chinatown were glad only US flags were set on fire.

DC Ferguson marchers take over streets, storm Wal-Mart

On the 25th of November, thousands took to the streets for the second night of DC Ferguson protests responding the the grand jury's refusal to indict killer cop Darren Wilson. The protest took over the streets and blocked the intersection of NY Ave and 395 before marching south-and storming the Wal-Mart on H st. The only looting was the usual looting by Wal-Mart's bosses, stealing from their associates with their law wages and terrible working conditions. Protesters made it plain they were after management, not the associates actually working late to put food on their family tables.

Wal-Mart is known to have donated $10,000 to killer cop Darren Wilson's legal defense fund, so on Nov 25 DC Ferguson marchers "indicted" Wal-Mart for obstructing justice by storming the H st store!

Die-in at DC Police headquarters protests Ferguson, killer cops

On the 25th of November, people outraged by the refusal of the Ferguson grand jury to indict killer cop Darren Wilson staged a die-in at DC police headquarters. The die-in lasted 4 1/2 minutes, one minute for each hour Michael Brown's body was left in the street by the St Louis police department. DC cops too routinely shoot and kill African-American youth, they too need to listen to the fury of the streets on this issue.

Ferguson, USA: An Episode in the Class War

On August 9 in Ferguson, a small suburb of St. Louis, a cop killed Michael Brown firing 6 bullets into him: this young black man, unarmed, with his arms raised in the air, had made the mistake of not responding to his order to walk on the sidewalk. Michael Brown was left like a dog in the street for several hours without even his parents allowed to come close to his body. There was generalized outrage at this crime among the population and successive violent protests for ten days.

Only two DC Councilmembers attend Stop and Frisk hearing

On the 27th of October, DC Police Chief Cathy Lanier appeared before the city countil to testify about the use of "stop and frisk" tactics by DC Police. This is an admission that Stop and Frisk exists in this town. Unfortunately, only two DC City Councilmembers bothered to attend, leading one witness to remark when a white witness was testifying that this amounted only to "three white people having a conversation."

Park Police attempt to order Pax Christi "Drone" away from Air and Space

On the 25th of October, Pax Christi showed up in front of the national Air and Space museum with one of the large crank-up "drones" often seen at anti-drone protests. US Park Police demanded they crank it back down or move it. They moved it-back and forth in front of the museum, making it more visible because it was moving and causing mindless Park Police repression to backfire.
