Small Ferguson solidarity protest at White House in defiance of denied permit

On the 20th of August a small number of protesters gathered at the White House after organizers of a intended larger protest were denied a permit to be there and very heavy rain rolled through the area. One protester asked if the police intend to kill her brother next, another asked simply "am I next," yet another carried a sign reminding all that police in the US evolved from the goons in the old South who hunted escaped slaves.

Zionists, cops start trouble at huge Gaza march on White House, Washington Post

On the 2nd of August, organizers estimated 30,000 people took to the streets in solidarity with the hard-pressed residents of occupied Gaza, Palestine. There were at least three ugly incidents, one involving Zionist provocateurs, one involving the US Park Police, and one involving both. On the other hand, the massive march went from the White House to the lying, deceiving Washington Post, demanding they stop printing Israeli propaganda and tell the truth about Gaza. Upon arrival, coffins were stacked against the windows of the Washington Post's building. We shall see if that makes it into tomorrow's print edition.

On the 4th of July, the annual Hemp/Cannabis legalization march had to pass through the Mall bag search checkpoints, at least one arrest was reported just past the checkpoints. Some others refused to enter the concert area due to the checkpoints. Those checkpoints are probably why this march and concert no longer draws the thousands it used to before George W Bush brought public event checkpoints to DC.
