Beyond Extreme Energy, 3ed Act blockade FERC against Manchin, MVP On the 18th of May, Beyond Extreme Energy and 3ed Act backed up frontline activists, descending on the monthly meeting of FERC, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Protesters blocked the driveway with rocking chairs and protrayed the Commissioners as puppets of W Va Senator Joe Manchin. Manchin is still promoting coal, fracking, and the infamous Mountain Valley Pipeline or MVP. |

For nearly a year, supporters of the pro-Trump insurgents who stormed the Capitol on Jan 6 2021 have been protesting outside the DC Jail in support of the terrorists held or passing through there for J6. On the 14th of May, they got a surprise: counterprotesters got their first and took the prime spot! The fascists responded with violence.

On the 13th of May, far-right Christian extremists again attempted without success to disrupt a drag show at a venue on Barracks Row in SE DC. Again a solid wall of umbrellas blocked their view of people entering the venue, again loud music made their hateful words hard to hear.

On the 4th of May, mushrooming financial and ethics scandals continued to embroil the Supreme Court. Protesters demanding a code of ethics for SCOTUS showed up by surprise marching past the Chevy Chase homes of "justices" Kavanaugh and Roberts.

Washington DC—Over 40 green groups rallied on Earth Day at Freedom Plaza to celebrate the Earth’s natural beauty while calling on world and local leaders to get serious about ending the use of fossil fuel energy sources. The Saturday event saw hundreds join a in panorama of environmental and social justice messages on a common theme: any further delay in ending carbon based energy sources-oil, methane, and coal, and continued reliance on these energy sources—would lock in rising global heat levels and imperil the existence of all the future generations.

On the 18th of April, genocidal anti-Trans Fl Governor DeSantis showed up in DC at the Heritage Foundation. This while trans kids were arrested in the FL State House trying to stop a bill to allow CPS to take them from their familes and he just signed a 6 week abortion ban. Furious protesters forced him to slink in via the back door-and surprised him there when he left.

On the 15th of March, abortion rights protesters showed up at the Supreme Court. SCOTUS has put a short-term injunction on enforcing a Texas judge's order to the FDA to revoke approval of one of the two drugs used for medical (as opposed to surgical) abortions. Abortion rights activists are demanding SCOTUS permanently stop Federal judges from second-guessing the FDA and injecting politics into the drug approval process.

On the 26th of May, "Justice" Samuel Alito (aka the Witchburner) got yet another abortion rights protest at his Northern Virginia home. He's been getting these for over a year after citing Matthew Hale in the Dobb's decision to let states revoke abortion rights.

On the 13th of May, explicitly Fascist group Patriot Front staged another one of their "mass marches" of a hundred or so in Washington DC. A solo counterprotester called them out, demanding the "get a job," calling them "incels," the works.

DC's Earth Day marched towards the White House after a series of events on Freedom Plaza. Heavy rains passed through, about half the participants stayed through it and continued the event. "Hundreds" reported present even after the rain.
Many groups participated, notably Extinction Rebellion DC, which is trying to sink a $5 billion Washington Gas pipeline replacement plan.

On the 16th of April, the so-called “Freedom Corner” protest at the DC Jail for J6 detainees (Proud Boys, 3%er’s, Oath Keepers etc) drew counterprotesters. MAGA meatheads are simply NOT welcome in DC.
It is very rare for anyone held in a jail to attract HOSTILE noise demos, but that’s how unpopular those who fought to reinstall Trump by armed force are in DC

On the 10th of April, protesters returned to the home of Supreme Court "Justice" Clarence Thomas and his wife Ginni. This came after the scandal broke concerning Thomas accepting years of unlawful gifts of luxury travel and hospitality from a billionaire GOP donor.
