Progressives confront Trumpers outside White House as Kavanaugh gets 2nd swearing-in by Trump

On the evening of October 8, Donald Trump summoned Brett Kavanaugh to the White House for a ceremonial second swearing-in. Outside, Penn Ave was closed, but arguments between progressives and Trump supporters broke out up and down the opposite sidewalk until the loud "Kremlin Annex" protesters showed up with musical instruments and their PA to drown the MAGAts out.

On the 7th of October, the #KremlinAnex protests continued in front of the White House. This was the 84th evening of the protests. Again the theme was Kavanaugh's history of alcohol abuse and sexual abuse.

#CancelKavanaugh: Injustice KKKavanaugh confirmed as protesters take Capitol steps, disrupt vote

On the 6th of October, the US Senate voted to confirm "Injustice KKKavanaugh" by a 50-48 margin. The vote was interrupted by protesters who Vice President Mike Pence himself tried to gavel into silence. Outside, a mass protest occupied the East Steps of the US Capitol. At times the sound of public fury was deafening.

#CancelKavanaugh: Womens March marches on Supreme Court, Occupies Hart Building

On the 4th of October, the Women's March and other groups bussed in protesters from all over the US for a massive march from Brett Kavanaugh's current place of work at the Federal Courthouse (333 Const Ave) to the US Supreme Court. Plans to hold a massive sit-in on the Capitol steps were hampered by Capitol police blocking access to the entire building, so protesters took over the Hart building atrium after the rally instead.

On the 4th of October, Senato Bob Corker emerged from the Dirksen Senate Office Building into a crowd of protesters to walk to his car. Several protesters broke from the crowd to follow him. At his car, a woman identifying herself as a surviver of sexual assault confronted Senator Corker, demanding he vote NO on confirming Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.

#MeToo protest at US Supreme Court calls out KKKavanaugh

On the evening of Oct 3, the night before the big Women's March mobilization against Brett Kavanaugh, hundreds gathered outside the US Supreme Court. Speaker after speaker called out Kavanaugh for everything from alcohol abuse to sexual abuse, to lying to the US Senate under oath. The keynote speakers were several rape survivers, plus Senator Merkley(D-OR) and Nancy Pelosi.

#Kremlin Annex Impeachment protest hammers Trump and KKKavanaugh over sexual assault charges

The 1st of October was the 78th evening of the "Kremlin Annex" protests at the White House demanding Trump be impeached. This time around, much of the focus was on Trump's SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh, with musical numbers such as "We Believe Christine," "No means No!" and even "99 bottles of beer on the all, Kavanaugh came to drink them all."

Thousands march on Supreme Court for Christine Ford, 1st st NE blocked, over 50 arrests

Update Sep 28: Sen Judiciary committee votes 11-10 to move forward on nomination, but delay floor vote one week for FBI investigation of sexual assault charges.

On the 27th of September, thousands of protesters including survivers of sexual assault gathered in front of the US Capitol and marched on the Supreme Court. Once there, some of them blockaded 1st st NE, leading to well over 50 arrests. Another protests in solidarity with Christine Ford's courageous testimony against Brett Kavanaugh took place inside the Hart Senate Office Building.
