Federal court denies Chelsea Manning's motion to quash grand jury subpeona as protesters rally outside

On the 5th of March, a Federal court in Alexandria, VA denied Chelsea Manning's motion to quash a grand jury subpoena for which almost all details have been kept under seal. Chelsea reported a very large number of government attorneys were present at the hearing. Outside, protesters including several previous grand jury resistors stood in solidarity with her.

Federal grand jury witch-hunters are at it again: This time they have subpeonaed Chelsea Manning to appear before a Federal grand jury in Virginia on March 5. She has declared she will use "every available avenue to challenge this subpeona."

BLM blockades Chinatown, "National Emergency" protesters rally at White House

At Noon on the 18th of February, protesters at the White House declared that TRUMP is the "national emergency". This is over his attempt to claim dictatorial powers to remove as many Brown people from the US as possible and build his wall. At the exact same time, Black Lives Matter blockaded Chinatown, protesting MPD and Bowser for their efforts to remove as many Black people from DC as possible.

Noise Protest outside DC Jail protests 8 months w no Rec Time

Recently, BLM activists and No Justice No Pride got word that inmates at both the DC Jail (Central Detention Facitly) and the so-called "Correctional Treatment Facility" had used various excuses to deny inmates ALL outdoor recreation time for the past 8 months. In reponse, activists staged a pot-and-pan banging noise protest outside the jail on the evening of Valentine's Day.

Mayor Bowser VETOES Metro fare decriminalization bill

Update Jan 22: DC Council overrides Mayor's veto, fare evasion will be decriminalized unless Congress intervenes. Mayor "more cops more jails" Bowser defeated again.

On the 16th of January, DC Mayor Bowser VETOED the Metro fare decriminalization bill. The bill passed the DC Council by a 10-2 margin, enough to override the Mayor's veto if nobody changes their vote. Metro police have been aggressively targeting Black youth for enforcement and arrest on fare evasion charges. This could perhaps be called "Make Metro White Again.

Gitmo protest marches on White House, Trump Hotel, Central Cell Block

Jan 11 was the 17th anniversary of the opening of AmeriKKKa's dungeoun at Guantanimo Bay, Cuba. On Jan 11, 2019 protesters marked the occasion with a broader protest both of indefinate detention at Gitmo and US mass incarceration in general. Immigration detention was also singled out as protesters marched from the White House to Trump Hotel, and then to DC's own Central Cellblock.

Philly cops aggressively protect fascist "Proud Boys" rally from #Pushback counterprotest

On the 17th of November, a front group for the Proud Boys held a "We the People" rally in Philadelphia. Also present were the Keystone State Skinheads and 3%er militia elements. A much larger counterprotest confronted them. Unfortunately, other fascists wearing badges and police uniforms used great effort to protect their comrades in the rally. Police visit home, harass local activist after Tucker Carlson home demo

On the 8th of November, less than 24 hours after protesters showed up at the home of far-right media personality Tucker Carlson, cops showed up knocking on a local activist's door. This was not the same activist who was harassed after the Aug 12 "Unite the Right II" counterprotests but another activist.
